The prevailing heavy showers over the South-Western part of the island are expected to ease from tomorrow (06), the Forecasting Division of the National Meteorological Centre said.
Showers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa and Central Provinces and in the Galle and Matara districts.
Several spells of showers will occur in the North-Western Province.
Strong winds up to 50 kmph can be expected at times on the western slopes of the central hills, in the Northern and North-Central Provinces and in the Puttalam, Hambantota and Trincomalee districts.
