The traditional ceremony to inform the head of the state on the successful completion of the historic Kandy Esala Perahera Festival took place at the President’s House in Kandy in the presence of President Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
Diyawadana Nilame Pradeep Nilanga Dela handed over the Perahera Sandeshaya (Sannasa) to President to inform the successful completion of the Kandy Esala Perahera.
President and the Frist Lady gave food to the elephant.
