Sri Lankan all-rounder Wanindu Hasaranga has officially declared his retirement from Test cricket. The decision was conveyed in a letter addressed to Sri Lanka Cricket. Hasaranga will continue contributing to the national team’s success through One Day Internationals (ODIs) and Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is).

Wanindu Hasaranga, who rose to prominence as a versatile player capable of excelling in all facets of the game, made his Test debut in 2020 against South Africa at Centurion. He played 4 test matches and bagged 4 wickets.
