A decision was taken to eliminate wage disparities in all services in the education sector within the next two months, Education Minister Susil Premajayantha said.
He said a meaningful and friendly discussions underway with several teacher trade unions to resolve this matter.
With the removal of the salary anomalies, the minister expressed confidence that the human resources required for school management will be provided in sufficient quantity.
Further, the minister said that professional competence is improved not by outdated knowledge, but by knowledge based on updated technology.
