Sri Lanka records the lowest single-day coronavirus cases and deaths after nearly 5 months

For the 2nd consecutive day, Sri Lanka’s Daily Covid cases below 700. Today Sri Lanka records the lowest single-day coronavirus cases after 167 days as only 671 COVID cases reported.

According to official stats Sri Lanka’s weekly average of PCR tests count show about 6,200 per day. Test positivity rate has decreased to 12%. It was around 35% during early September.

Sri Lanka records 23 COVID related deaths. According to the Director General of Health Services, 23 deaths had taken place October 11 and the total number of fatalities in Sri Lanka increased to 13,377.
