National Building Research Organization NBRO issued landslides alert for several districts due to prevailing rainy condition.
NBRO issued landslides “Warning Level 2” (Alert- Amber) alert for Badulla District Passara DSD areas and surrounding areas.
NBRO issued landslides “Warning Level 1” (Watch – Yellow) alert for Nuwara Eliya district Walapane and Nuwara Eliya DSD areas and surrounding areas, Ratnapura district Weligepola, Eheliyagoda, Ratnapura, Kalawana, Kahawaththa and Imbulpe, Matale district Rattota, Kegalle district Mawanella, Aranayake and Bulathkohupitiya, Kandy district Yatinuwara, Ganga Ihala Korale, Harispattuwa and Gangawata Korale, Kalutara district Bulathsinhala, Badulla district Ella, Galle District Neluwa, Nagoda and Elpitiya DSD areas and surrounding areas.
Department of Meteorology say the low pressure area is still persist in the vicinity of Sri Lanka. Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the most part of the island.
Heavy showers above 100 mm can be expected at some places in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-Western and Uva provinces and in Galle and Matara districts. (LankaXpress.com)
