Sri Lanka adverse weather – 2 deaths, over 5300 people affected islandwide

At least 2 persons have died, 2 injured and over 5300 people have been affected due to the adverse weather conditions prevailing in several parts of Sri Lanka. According to DMC report, 3 houses are fully damaged, and 352 houses are partially damaged due to bad weather. 55 people displaced. 7 districts were affected.

Massive rainfall of 240 mm reported in Wevalthalawa Kegalle district and 215 mm reported in Norochcholai area Puttalam district during last few days. Meanwhile, Department of Meteorology say that the low pressure area is still persist in the vicinity of Sri Lanka.
