Litro Gas Lanka has decided not to revise the prices of its domestic LP gas cylinders in the month of February.
Addressing a special media briefing convened this morning (Feb.02), Litro Chairman Muditha Peiris said the decision was reached after taking into account the financial difficulties facing the members of the public.
Although the domestic gas cylinder prices should ideally be increased in line with the price hikes in the global market, Mr. Peiris said the company decided to bear the greater share of the loss incurred on account of non-revision of rates.
After the price hike announced in January, the Litro Gas prices now stand at the following rates:
12.5kg cylinder – Rs. 4,250
5kg cylinder – Rs. 1,707
2.3 kg cylinder – Rs. 795
