People across Sri Lanka are severely inconvenienced due to the shortage of diesel and Petrol. Many of the fuel stations were out of stock of diesel and Petrol.
Signs reading ‘No Diesel’ were displayed at many petrol stations and long queues were seen at many filling stations.
Meanwhile, vessel with Diesel arrived to Sri Lanka and officials made the payment for the Diesel shipment today. Minister of Energy states out of that 8,000 metric tons will be released for power generation.
2 ships with petrol and diesel are expected to arrive coming few days to Sri Lanka according to Ceylon Petroleum Cooperation sources. Currently Sri Lanka is experiencing both Petrol and Diesel shortage in the market. Long queues report at Filling Stations island-wide.
