A false rumor circulating on social media and specially WhatsApp alleging that Ms. Jamila Husain has resigned as Editor-in-Chief of the Daily Mirror has been firmly denied.
Ms. Husain addressed the issue via Twitter, stating, “Kindly request those who are spreading this false rumour to stop! I have not resigned as the Editor in Chief of Daily Mirror!”
The Daily Mirror has also issued a statement urging the cessation of such malicious activities and warned that any harassment or threats against its staff would lead to legal action.
