Two individuals including a Russian national were killed after a car plunged down a precipice at Pusse Ela in Udadumbara on the Kandy-Meemure Road, Police said.
Two others who were injured in the accident were admitted to the Medamahanuwara Hospital and were later transferred to the Kandy Hospital.
A woman from Kandy is among the deceased.
Udadumbara police are investigating.
