The collective of trade unions say they will launch a 24-hour token strike campaign across Sri Lanka on April 28. The collective have organized a massive strike by all the trade unions, including Ports, Railways, Banks , Teachers and all the semi-government services. Accordingly, thousands of people islandwide will join the struggle.

A collective of trade unions to launch a 24-strike on April 28 demanding entire Government including the President and Prime Minister should resign promptly. The Ceylon Teachers’ Union says they will join the protest campaign on April 28. Meanwhile, Railway Trade Union Alliance (RTUA) says they will launch 24-hour trade union action in solidarity to the people’s struggle.
