Sri Lanka President Ranil Wickremesinghe says that government is to discuss the debt restructuring process during the India External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar’s visit. India External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar will be visiting Colombo on a two-day visit from 19th of January. The EAM had last visited Sri Lanka in March last year when India had helped Sri Lanka at the peak of its economic crisis.

Sri Lanka is currently carrying out a debt restructuring program and already completed the negotiations with Japan which is one of the three main countries.

President further says that government discussed the debt restructuring process with China’s EXIM Bank and by now have commenced exchanging views on it. (LankaXpress.com )
