Sri Lanka records the lowest single-day coronavirus deaths after 80 days as only 40 COVID related deaths reported. 3564 coronavirus related deaths have been reported in Sri Lanka during September 1 to September 30.
According to the Director General of Health Services, 40 deaths had taken place October 2 and the total number of fatalities in Sri Lanka increased to 13,059.
The majority of the deaths are of the people in the over 60 years of age group. 76% percent deaths are above age 60 years group. 22 percent are 30-59 and 1.16% are below the age of 30.
