Sri Lanka Police have reported that the country has witnessed a concerning rise in shooting incidents this year. According to police spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa, a total of 36 people have lost their lives due to these incidents.

Police spokesman SSP Nihal Thalduwa says that so far this year, about 60 shooting incidents have been reported in Sri Lanka. The police say 28 people have been injured due to these shootings.

SSP Nihal Thalduwa emphasized that the individuals involved in these shooting incidents often have ties to organized crime gangs.
