The Inspector General of Police has issued an order to every police station in the island to conduct special anti-crime operations from 6 pm today till May 15th to cover the entire island.
Information from the police headquarters disclosed that this operation is taking place according to a sudden decision.
From this morning, a special security program was implemented in the vicinity of Colombo and its suburbs with the help of the army. Police information revealed that this crime prevention operation will be implemented from this evening until the 15th.
