Lanka Sathosa, the state-owned wholesale and retail chain, has decided to reduce the price of 5 essential items, in view of the upcoming festive season including Christmas.
The slashed prices are effective from December 21), according to the marketing manager of Lanka Sathosa.
The revised prices are as follows:
Big Onions – Rs. 185 (reduced by Rs. 5)
Red Dhal – Rs. 378 (reduced by Rs. 7)
Canned fish Local – Rs 480 (reduced by Rs. 10)
Dry chillies – Rs. 1780 (reduced by Rs. 15)
Sprats (Thai) – Rs. 1100 (reduced by Rs. 50)
