Former Deputy Mayor of Kaduwela Municipal Council Chandika Abeyratne who was receiving treatment at the Mulleriyawa Hospital, arrested for assaulting social media activist Piyath Nikeshala.
Social Activist Piyath Nikeshala has been hospitalized following an assault incident. He played a key role during the GotaGoGama ‘Aragalaya / Struggle’. Media reports that the assault was done by the former deputy mayor of Kaduwela Chandika Abeyrathne. Piyath has been admitted to the Thalangama hospital.
