Today, the outgoing High Commissioner of India, His Excellency Gopal Baglay, paid a farewell call on former President Mahinda Rajapaksa. Former President Rajapaksa extended his best wishes to High Commissioner Baglay, acknowledging and appreciating India’s unwavering support and friendship throughout his tenure. He expressed gratitude for the continued collaboration between the two nations and wished the outgoing diplomat success in all his future endeavors.
The meeting was attended by State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hon Tharaka Balasuriya, as well as Members of Parliament C.B. Rathnayaka and Sagara Kariyawasam.
