The Examination Department yesterday requested the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) and the Lanka Electricity Co. (Pvt) Ltd. (LECO) to continue uninterrupted power supply during the period where the 2022 GCE A/L examinations are conducted, Department Commissioner General H.J.M.C. Amith Jayasundara said.

He told the media that the 2022 GCE Advanced Level (A/L) examinations will begin on Monday (23) and continue until February 17, as scheduled.

Therefore, requests have been made to the responsible authorities to ensure uninterrupted power supply during the aforementioned period.

“Some examination centres require lighting facilities to the examination halls, even if the weather is good.” “Favourable response has been received from the said authorities following requests,” he said.
