Releasing 2021 GCE A/L exam results further delayed. GCE A/L exam results to be released before August 14th 2022 according to the Examination Department sources. Examination Department officials have NOT so far announced the exact releasing date or the time. The Commissioner General of Examinations says that evaluation of the answer sheets of the A-level examination is in the final stage but can not tell exact results releasing date due to prevailing crisis situation.

The Commissioner General of Examinations further said that the results of the A-level examination are scheduled to be released at the end of July month or within the first 2 weeks of August month (Before August 14).

A/L Exam results release will be delayed due to current fuel crisis and economic situation in the country. From 20 June, Sri Lankan authorities announced a shutdown of government offices till July 10 as public transport was crippled due to fuel shortages.

Advance Level Examination (A/L exam) was held from February 7 to March 5 and about 345,242 candidates sat for the exam and about 2438 exam centres established island-wide.

Higher education Ministry sources says that the students who qualified for the 2020/2021 University Academic year based on 2020 A/L results will be admitted before the end of 2021. 2020 A/L Exam was delayed and was held on October month due to coronavirs pandemic in the country.
