Update – Prevailing showery condition in the Puttalam district is expected to continue further. Heavy Showers above 100 mm can be expected at some places. Heavy showers or thundershowers above 100 mm can occur at some places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle, Matara and Kurunegala districts.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Western, Sabaragamuwa and North-western provinces and in Kandy, Nuwara-Eliya, Galle and Matara districts.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Uva province and in Ampara and Batticaloa districts during the evening or night.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers
