Despite our stance that former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa wouldn’t perform, the Viyathmaga group and people brought him to office, Government MP Nimal Lanza said today.
He told Parliament that the Viyathmaga members got away and it was they who had to finally get the blame for the failure of Gotabaya Rajapaksa.
“When Gotabaya Rajapaksa was brought in, we said he could not perform. It was the people of the country and the Viyathmaga professionals who brought him in. Ultimately, those who were involved in bringing him to office got away and we had to take all the blame,” he said.
