Sri Lanka Broadcasting Corporation SLBC to launch an educational radio channel “Vision FM” from August 16. The new educational radio channel will be broadcast on FM 102.1 and 102.3 FM radio waves.
Vision-FM educational channel will broadcast every day from 4.00 am to 12.00 midnight for 20 hours and 65 percent will be for subject based teaching and 35 percent will be for non-subject teaching.
Meanwhile, Media Minister Keheliya Rambukwella says that government has taken steps to launch six educational Television channels on Peo TV within the next week.
