Remains of a doctor (35) attached to the Thambuttegama Hospital, suspected to have died several days ago, found from his official quarters. The cause of death is yet to be determined.

A hospital employee has come to the doctor’s quarters to see this doctor as he has not reported for work for three days. The police say that he told the hospital authorities that the doctor was found dead on his bed when he went inside the official house. The employee also told the police that the doors of the official residence were ajar at that time.

Initial investigations have also revealed that the death of this doctor was due to an overdose of insulin injected into the body. The police say that there was also an insulin vial near his bed.

The police say that the exact cause of the doctor’s death will be revealed in the post-mortem examination and the post-mortem examination is scheduled to be conducted June 14.
