Former Minister Naveen Dissanayake has been appointed as the new Governor of Sabaragamuwa Province. He took his oath of office in the presence of President Ranil Wickramasinghe at the President’s Office this afternoon (13).
Mr. Navin Dissanayake, who spoke after the swearing in, said that President Ranil Wickramasinghe will contribute his best to the implementation of the programs and government policies implemented for the country.
He pointed out that although the country was in a very difficult situation in the past period, due to the right program of the President, there has been a positive transformation in the country today.
He also said that he would be committed.
He mentioned that he would pay special attention to the education of children in Sabaragamuwa province and said that his aim is to implement the government’s policies with the blessings of all political party leaders.
