The Department of Meteorology says a temporary change in the prevailing dry weather conditions in the island, especially in the southern half, can be expected after today (20).
A few showers may occur in the Eastern Province, it said.
Showers or thundershowers may occur at a few places in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Nuwara-Eliya, Galle and Matara districts in the evening or night.
Mainly dry weather will prevail elsewhere in the island.
Misty conditions can be expected at some places in Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in Galle and Kalutara districts during the morning.
