A suspect has been arrested by Kurunegala police for obstructing police officers and trying to attack them with a knife.
The drunk suspect has behaved in a way as to interfere with the duty of the police officers who were observing the distribution of petrol at the Gonagama petrol station in Kurunegala area on July 23.
Another suspect who tried to attack a police officer while behaving riotously at a petrol station in Piliyandala area has been arrested on July 22.
The suspect has tried to attack a police officer with a hand saw when he said that he could not get fuel from the vehicle with a wrong last digit number plate at a petrol station in Madapata area in Piliyandala.
