The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Doha facilitated the third air shipment of 100 Medical Oxygen Cylinders with the capacity of 50 Litres each, to the Government of Sri Lanka, further strengthening its battle against the COVID-19 pandemic.
The donation was made by well-wishers upon the urgent request made by Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Qatar M. Mafaz Mohideen.
The SriLankan Airlines airlifted the consignment on Free of Charge basis. The consignment of Oxygen Cylinders were delivered to the Foreign Ministry of Sri Lanka, and are expected to be distributed among the Government hospitals to enhance the capacity of the health sector.
The Sri Lankan Embassy further wishes to continue this initiative extending its fullest cooperation to the Sri Lankan Government containing the spread of COVID-19.
