Sri Lanka’s economy experienced a turnaround in Q3 2023, marking growth of 1.6% year on year, according to the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL). This positive shift follows six consecutive quarters of economic contraction, signaling a potential recovery for the nation.

According to a Central Bank of Sri Lanka report, the country recorded negative economic growth of -7.4% in 2022 and -3.8% in 2023.
