Sri Lanka records the lowest single-day coronavirus deaths after about 50 days as only 66 COVID related deaths reported. About 2900 coronavirus related deaths have been reported in Sri Lanka during September 1 to September 21.
According to the Director General of Health Services, 66 deaths had taken place September 20 and the total number of fatalities in Sri Lanka increased to 12,284.
The majority of the deaths are of the people in the over 60 years of age group. 76% percent deaths are above age 60 years group. 22 percent are 30-59 and 1.16% are below the age of 30.
