According to the Our World in Data website stats, Sri Lanka listed as the highest rate of daily COVID-19 vaccine doses administered per 100 people country in the world. In the last week Sri Lanka has administered 15 doses per 100 people of the population and the rate was faster than Israel’s campaign.

According to the latest COVID19 Vaccine rollout live tracking, over 10 million (10,076,981) first doses of the coronavirus vaccines have been administered in Sri Lanka. Over 88% of the total population above age 30 in Sri Lanka have been administered with at least the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Sri Lanka reached 10 million milestone for Covid-19 vaccination drive on August 1.
As of now about 20% of the country’s population above the age 30 has received the 2nd dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. Over 2.2 million second doses of the coronavirus vaccines have been administered in Sri Lanka.
28.5% of the world population has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, and 14.7% is fully vaccinated. 4.18 billion doses have been administered globally, and 39.7 million are now administered each day. Only 1.1% of people in low-income countries have received at least one dose.
