Over 7000 people have been affected due to the adverse weather conditions including floods in Northern Province Sri Lanka during the last few days. According to DMC 32 houses are partially damaged due to bad weather. About 1625 people displaced.
Sri Lanka MET department forecast showers will occur at times in Northern, North-central, Eastern and Uva provinces on December 18. Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in other areas of the island after 1.00 p.m. Fairly heavy showers above 75 mm are likely at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-western provinces.
