SC concludes hearing of petitions against bill to revoke privileges of former Presidents

The Supreme Court has concluded the hearing of petitions filed against the bill presented by the government to remove the privileges of former Presidents, and announced that its confidential determination on the constitutionality of the bill will be forwarded to the Speaker of House.

After an extensive review, the order was issued by a three-judge bench of the Supreme Court comprising Chief Justice Preethi Padman Surasena, Justice Achala Wengappuli, and Justice Sampath Abeykoon.
