Sapugaskanda Oil Refinery to close and there is no fuel shortage in Sri Lanka -Minister

Sri Lanka Energy Minister Udaya Gammanpila says that the Sapugaskanda Oil Refinery will be closed for 50 days due to limited foreign reserves.

Sri Lanka needs about US$ 350 million to import fuel monthly. Foreign reserves will be kept to import essential items.

Sri Lanka Energy Minister requests public not to be panic over a fuel shortage. He assures that there will be no fuel shortage in Sri Lanka coming days.
