The Rotary Club of Colombo facilitated a donation of valuable lifesaving medical equipment to the Kalubovila Teaching Hospital and Gampaha District General Hospitals’ today. The donation included 4 sets of Nasal Oxygen Therapy, 3 sets of Non Invasive Ventilators and 7 sets of Multi Para Monitors with a total value of Rs 10.2 million.
The donation comes from the Sri Lanka Foundation, USA which is an American based charity organization supported by Sri Lankan diaspora living in the USA and Rotarian Joe Stephens from the Rotary Club of Miami. The SLCIM (Sri Lanka College of Internal Medicine) evaluated the needs of the two hospitals and selected the necessary equipment.
President Nithi Murugesu and Past President Mohammed Abidally (Project Chairman) from the Rotary Club of Colombo made the presentation today to the Director of the Hospital.
