Private Bowser Owners to launch strike

Private Bowser Owners to refrain from distributing fuel from midnight today as they demand increase of transport fares.

CPSTL instructed to open registration immediately for new suppliers to transport fuel & to cancel registration of those who fail to report for duty.

Trains, Government owned fuel station & privately hired bowsers not on strike will continue services says Power & Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera.

A total of 381 bowsers used for fuel deliveries today as at 4pm. Sufficient Auto Diesel, Super Diesel, Petrol 92 and Kerosene released to the fuel stations and is in stock. 95 Petrol is limited says Minister.
