Sri Lanka President-elect Ranil Wickremesinghe has expressed his appreciation to the three armed forces and the police who performed their duties during the last few days.
While leaving the Parliament after the Presidential election, newly elected President alighted from his vehicle at the roadblock near the Polduwa Junction and met with the armed forces personnel who were deployed on duty outside the Parliament and expressed his thanks to them. The three armed forces and the police provided security to the Parliament and the surrounding area for several days.
The President-elect further said that he is thankful to all those who dedicated themselves to protect democracy.
