Two-and-half hour daily power cut until the Norochcholai power plant is connected

Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera says that a two-and-half hour daily power cut will be maintained until the Norochcholai power plant is connected back to the grid.

Minister Kanchana Wijesekera further said in a Twitter message that US $ 34 million has been paid for another stock of crude oil and Furnace Oil. The fuel stock will be unloaded and is designed to be used for power generation and industrial purposes.
