Police strictly enforce inter-provincial travel ban and night time quarantine curfew. 312 people who tried to cross the provincial boarders sent back after warning. Police arrested 279 persons for violating night-time curfew and quarantine regulations last 24-hour (August 18). From 2020 October 30th, so far total 55,402 people arrested for not wear face masks, not main social distancing concept and not obey travel restriction rules.

The Tri-Forces and the Police Special Task Force (STF) has set up roadblocks at all provincial borders. 312 people who tried to cross the provincial boarders sent back after warning during last 24-hour. 12 roadblocks were setup in entry / exit points to Wester Province.

Sri Lanka government imposed night time curfew from August 16 following the rapid spread of the highly transmissible Delta variant of coronavirus across the country. Island wide night-time quarantine curfew imposed from 10pm to 4 am everyday till further notice.

Wearing mask and social distancing are mandatory in Sri Lanka, if violated Rs.10,000 fine & up to 6 month’s imprisonment.
