Sri Lanka Police Media Division has issued a media statement regarding the false news that circulating saying the police has sealed a milk powder shop in Mirihana area.
Sri Lanka Police vehemently deny this false propaganda that a milk powder shop is sealed.
President has instructed Senior DIG in charge of the Western Province Deshabandu Tennakoon to look into the reasons for the long queues of the public to purchase milk powder from the Pelawatta Milk Powder Company.
Accordingly, Police have found that selling milk powder from only one window is the reason for the long queues. The number of places selling milk powder will be increased from December 31.
