Another 2 suspects including a doctor in Bandaragama area arrested by the Police CID over the incident of sexual exploitation of a 15 year old girl from Mount Lavinia area over the internet and social media. The arrested doctor is working as a Cardiologist in a hospital close to Colombo. According to police spokesman, so far 34 suspects arrested.
According to Police SDIG Ajith Rohana, arrested 34 suspects include main suspect, girl’s mother, father, doctor, a three-wheeler driver, a car driver, a monk, a gem businessman, Mihintale Pradeshiya Sabha vice chairman, Captain of a ship, Maldivian national, 2 website owners, a hotel manager and the person who has designed the advertisement.
