Thundershowers accompanied by severe lightning are likely to occur at several places in North-Central, North-Western, Central, Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Trincomalee, Galle and Matara districts. There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers.
Cloudy skies will prevailed over the most parts of the country. Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, North-western, Southern and Northern provinces. Heavy showers above 100 mm can be expected at some places in these areas.
Showers or thunder showers will occur at several places elsewhere. Wind speed can be increased up to 50 kmph at times over the island, particularly in the western slope of central hills, North-Western, Southern and Western provinces.
