There is a low-level atmospheric disturbance in the vicinity of Sri Lanka. Therefore, cloudy skies will prevail over the island.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central, Northwestern and Northern provinces and in Galle, Matara and Anuradhapura districts.
Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places elsewhere during the afternoon or night.
Heavy showers above 100 mm may occur at some places in Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and North-western provinces. Fairly heavy showers above 75 mm may occur at some places in Northern province and in Galle and Matara districts.
NBRO issued landslide early Warning Level 3 for Palindanuwara in Kalutara district, Ratnapura, Kuruwita and Elapatha areas in Ratnapura district.
Possibility of occurring a considerable flood situation in lowline areas of Kalu Ganga valley situated in Pelmadulla, Nivithigala, Ratnapura, Kuruvita, Ayagama and Elapatha D/S Divisions. It is requested to pay high attention in this regards by the residents in those area and vehicle drivers running through those areas.
General public is kindly requested to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
