The Department of Excise says, all Excise rates have been increased. As a result, liquor manufacturers say that prices of all varieties of liquor will go up by around Rs.300.
Liquor companies says that the prices of Arrack will increase in the coming days to reduce the losses due to the increase in production costs and the decrease in alcohol sales.
Meanwhile, prices of cigarettes increased by Rs. 25. Price increase effective from today under 4-categories. Price increase by Rs. 5, Rs. 15, Rs. 20 and Rs. 25 per stick. Earlier price was Rs. 100.
