Grapes, Apples, Oranges, Pomegranates and Dates Prices to increase

Special commodity levy imposed for several imported items. In addition to the import restrictions, the Special Commodity Levy on 9 items including imported fruits has been increased. Grapes and Apples Rs 300 per Kg, Oranges and Dates Rs. 200 per Kg.

Recently, the import of 367 non-essential items was restricted, including imported fruits. Fruit importers says that this increase in special commodity levy on imported fruits will also increase their prices.
