On February 21, Panamura police officers conducted a raid in the Panamura Dodamwatta Kanda area on a tip-off and arrested two suspects along with cannabis plants grown on an area of about 1 acre. About 26,000 cannabis plants were found in the seized land.
The arrested suspects are aged 31 and 50 and are residents of Indikatiya and Mulendiyawala areas.
The suspects are scheduled to be produced before the Embilipitiya Magistrate’s Court today and the Panamura Police are conducting further investigations. (LankaXpress.com
