Public Utilities Commission says a request made by CEB was approved for rotational power cuts for today (February 23) due to shortage of fuel supply. The scheduled power cuts will impose between 8.30 am to 10.30pm.
The PUCSL says that today’s fuel requirement to generate electricity is 4,000 metric tonnes and out of that only 1,000 metric tonnes have been supplied.
The schedule is as follows. 4 hours and 40 minutes for areas of A,B, C and 4 hours & 30 minutes in the other areas.
