Several spells of showers will occur in Western and Sabaragamuwa provinces and in Galle, Matara, Kandy and Nuwara-Eliya districts. Showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in Eastern, Uva and Northern provinces during the evening or night.
Mainly fair weather will prevail elsewhere over the Island. Several districts will see temperatures exceeding 30°C. Batticaloa is forecasted to reach 33°C, Trincomalee 35°C, Anuradhapura 34°C, and Jaffna 32°C and Ratnapura districts 33°C. Maximum temperature of 37.8°C reported in Polonnaruwa area during last 24-hours.
