The Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) says that they will stage a protest today (11) with the participation of doctors across the island.
Media Spokesman of the association Dr. Chamil Wijesinghe stated that the protest movement has been organized against the government’s failure to provide solutions to the issues faced by the doctors.
Meanwhile, MP Kavinda Jayawardena stated that he had filed a complaint at the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption regarding the lack of an investigation into the import of substandard medicines.
